Abstract

Objective: To determine academic stress during the COVID-19 pandemic in nursing students from a private university, 2021. Materials and methods: This research work was developed from a quantitative approach and its methodological design was transversal and correlational. The sample consisted of 100 nursing students from a private university. The data collection technique was the survey and the instrument was the SISCO questionnaire, which comprises 31 items and 3 dimensions. Results: Regarding academic stress, the medium level prevailed with 74% (n=74), followed by the high level with 13% (n=13) and low level with 13% (n=13). According to its dimensions, in stressors, the medium level prevailed with 61% (n=61), followed by the low level with 28% (n=28) and high level with 11% (n=11), in symptoms, predominated the medium level with 66% (n=66), followed by the high level with 23% (n=23) and low level with 11% (n=11) and in coping, the medium level prevailed with 70% (n=70). ), followed by the low level with 26% (n=26) and the high level with 4% (n=4). Conclusions: Regarding academic stress, the medium level prevailed, followed by the high level and low level.
